PREVNAR 20TM is a pneumococcal vaccine that helps protect against 20 types of the bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae in adults 18 years and older.

PREVNAR 20 works by helping the body make its own antibodies against these bacteria. In adults aged 18 years and older, it helps prevent diseases such as pneumonia (lung infection), bacteraemic pneumonia (lung infection with bacteria in the blood stream), sepsis or bacteraemia (bacteria in the blood stream), and meningitis (inflammation around the brain) caused by 20 types of the bacteria Streptococcus pneumoniae.
